Live-Fish Shipping
by Inen Neman

These days, internet has become a way of selling and
purchasing. Fish purchasing is also one of those items,
which can be sold over the internet. Proper shipping is
key to being able to buy and sell fish on the internet.
After all if the live fish don't arrive in good condition,
the market for internet live fish would ... dry up.

The shipping container for live fish is called a pot. A
pot is a shielded box, and is necessary to ship live fish
at every time of year to any destination. Without this,
the live fish can get too hot during the summer and too
cold during the winter, since the order is not for
Boiled, or frozen fish, that would be a problem. so we
start with a Styrofoam box containing water. If you were
shipping the fish, you could even make one of these , but
they are also available for sale. If you decide to make
your own, buy the blue foam stuff, because it has a better
insulating level. White foam will work but you must plan
to make it thicker to do the same job of insulating.
Measure the inside of your foam box and cut your cardboard
box to fit inside.

In winter time, hot packs are necessary to keep the fish
warm during their passage. It must have power for 35 hours
to keep the fish warm. Try to heat them up before using
properly. Strap them adequately with the box otherwise it
can be dangerous for the fish. Also put a double layer of
newspapers between the box lid and other components stored
in the box.

Do not pack the fish any earlier than needed. To evade any
embarrassing or unwanted situations while packaging your
fish, please note the following tips. *For more space, use
large plastic bags. * Be careful when placing the fish into
the bags. It can sometimes be quite difficult to place the
fish from the net. Be sure about your method.

Immediately after placing the fish into the bag, tie the
knot of the top end of the bag. If possible, then take a
help of a rubber band. Make sure that knot is tied
strongly. *After that, overturn the bag into another big
bag and perform the same process of tying the knot
properly. *While using betas, be careful about the air
element instead of water. Water will work as a safety point
here for the fish. At the same time, you must know that
more water will increase your cost also. *Mark the bag with
permanent ink. Black markers are used commonly for this
work.
